A truly unforgettable experience Our trip to Venice was just fab - a city with a uniqueness and mystique like no other. Prof. Eva Gratl was our expert guide and gave us an insight into history, art and architecture. Our first stop was the Rialto Bridge being the heart of Venice. The famous fruit and fish markets nearby are an experience. From there we walked to Piazza San Marco, known as St. Marks Square and called the drawing room of Europe by Napoleon. We went inside St. Marks Basilica and admired the Pala d‘Oro, the high Altar of the Basilica, made of gold and silver, pearls, emeralds and so many more jeweils - simply breathtaking! It was just great wandering the many streets, bridges and shops. The weather was perfect, sunny and warm and also some fog - Venice in the fog is magical, buildings and gondolas appearing slowly out of the mist! Always worth a visit - a truly unforgettable experience!
