Hockeyspieler zu Gast in der 2 A-SP Über einen ganz speziellen Besuch durften sich kürzlich die Schülerinnen und Schüler der 2 A-SP freuen. Alex Gellert (vorne links) und Denny Kearney (hinten links), zwei Eishockeyspieler aus Kanada bzw. den USA, erzählten den WFO-lern im Rahmen einer Englischstunde von ihrem Leben als Eishockeyprofis in Italien. Am Schluss gab es für die Schüler auch noch ein Präsent: Sie erhielten signierte Bücher zum 75-Jahre-Jubiläum des HC Bozen und Eintrittskarten für ein Spiel in der Eiswelle. HCB Hockey Players meet 2 A Sport On Tuesday, 25th October, two hockey players of the hockey team HC Bolzano Foxes, Alex Gellert from Canada and Denny Kearney from the USA, both in their twenties, visited our class, the 2A SP to have a conversation in English. Alex and Denny introduced themselves and then were asked questions about both their sport and private life. It ended up being a nice conversation between the players, the kids and the organizers, our English teacher, Gabi Zöggeler and Mr. Hassl (HC Bolzano). There was lots of laughter and interesting topics, such as the differences between life in Europe and North America, Italian food and freetime activities in South Tyrol. The meeting was held in the school library and at the end everyone got a present from the HC Bolzano including their book for the 75th anniversary of the hockey club and a ticket for a game in the Palaonda. The two players gave autographs and posed with the class for a few pictures. Many thanks to everyone involved, especially the club, the players Alex and Denny, and of course Mr. Hassl and Mrs. Zöggeler, who made this meeting possible. Alex Paller, 2 A-SP
